The owner of the Indian Premier League cricket club Delhi Capitals is seeking to raise $90 million to $100 million through a private loan, according to people familiar with the matter. The proceeds would be used to fund general corporate purposes, the people said, declining to be quoted on the condition of anonymity. They said the loan would be secured by the Delhi Capitals, including broadcast rights and sponsorships.

If a deal is struck, JSW GMR would become the latest venture in the lucrative sports sector to tap private credit for financing. Chelsea FC, for example, received £500 million from private manager Ares Management Corp., according to Your Pitch.
